Tension

Tension 2012
Metal, Paint, each 5'x3' installed 14'

"Tension" is an environmental public artwork.  The basis for the project was to recreate something from recycled materials, which in this case are printing racks that were formerly flat and rusted.  By shaping them into “dominoes”, adding fluorescent red paint, and positioning in a synchronized falling pattern, I hope to achieve a sense of anxiety, a feeling of anticipation and tension.  An overwhelming sensation, right before a glass falls and breaks, the crescendo of a musical piece, or on a more sensual level, the moment right before climax of a long awaited orgasm.
