Brooke Bofill is a graduate of Stony Brook University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, minoring in sculpture and print making. Creating art has been a form of expression since a young age, drawing influence from local environmental surroundings of Eastern Long Island, various travels, and experiences with human relations. The bodies of work play with organic shape versus forced structure, and color to create mood and emotion.
Sculpture began as a form of personal therapy and a way of expressing emotion. Creating a visual representation of feeling, whether tension and anxiety or organic harmony, free of restriction. This concept and idea coexists and transcends through sculpture, prints, photography and mixed media. Another concept or reoccurring theme is attachment or lack of and instead maybe artificial attachment.
